Announcing JAVS Suite 7!

The new JAVS 7 Suite includes all of the software and hardware required for professionals to create, manage, publish, and view the complete, permanent record of typical meeting scenarios, including courtroom proceedings, business meetings, and classroom settings.

At the core of the JAVS 7 Suite is the new Recorder 7, a network enabled, hardware recording appliance designed specifically for Audio/Video recording. Recorder 7 connects directly to a JAVS Audio/Video Processor and captures the live meeting in a secure, standards-based, digital multimedia file.

AutoLog 7 can be used to start and stop the Recorder from any computer on the network, assigning a custom name to each Recording Session. AutoLog 7 can also create a log of events for each Record Session, complete with a date and time stamp and multiple public or private notes for each event, party information for the people involved, and a set of exhibits used during the meeting. AutoLog 7 also provides control and monitoring functions of both the Recorder and the Audio/Video Processor, including audio levels and record indication.

Scheduler 7 is used to schedule all Record Sessions for a specific date or location, from any network connected PC. Schedules can be copied or moved to any date and will automatically be displayed in AutoLog on the date of the scheduled Record Session.

After recording has concluded, Publisher 7 is used to create a catalog of the Session Files and publish them to a new location, whether an optical disc or a drive on the network. Additionally, Publisher 7 has a wide array of reports available for Session logs, parties, and exhibits.

Finally, Viewer 7 is provided to view all Record Sessions in a simple, easy to use interface designed to display the events, Audio/Video, and any additional files included in the meeting.

In addition to Recorder, AutoLog, Scheduler, Publisher, and Viewer, the new JAVS 7 Suite offers; ControlCenter 7, a touch screen control interface used to manage all environmental and control aspects of a meeting room; Server 7 (Available April 1st, 2010), a software or hardware based enterprise database management solution designed to connect all JAVS 7 Suite products across the network; Finder 7 (Available April 1st, 2010), a web based search utility that allows any Record Session to be located and viewed from a PC?s web browser; and Signage 7, a professional display system that can show all scheduled Record Sessions on a public monitor display.

With this release of Autolog, CaseScheduler, and CaseViewer many of the features that our customers have been asking for are now built in. One of the major features is the ability to seal cases by using the new department based security scheme along with being able to export log?s to PDF and Excel files.

One thing to note is the fact that with this release you have to update everything (i.e. if you update Autolog you must update CaseScheduler) in order for it to work properly. With the exclusion of CaseViewer this release is not backwards compatible.

AutoLog 6.3 (Enhancements and Changes)

CaseViewer 3.2.1 Released

CaseViewer 3.2.1 is now available. This version has many internal changes which should help resolve some long standing issues. Please note that the installation program now has an option to install the CaseQueue plugin. This option should only be installed by those who are familiar with this particular feature.

  • CaseViewer no longer requires Windows Media Player, which eliminates several issues
  • The Javs5Channels plugin for Media Player is no longer required for 5 channel operation
  • Additionally, speaker configuration no longer needs to be set to 5.1 surround
  • Several other 5 channel operations, such as channel selection, now work more reliably
  • Issues with version 3.2 hanging on startup and exiting fixed
  • Installation of the CaseQueue tool window is now optional
  • Option to disable video overlays
  • User manual now included in the installation

If you have Downloaded CaseViewer Prior to Februray 8, 2007, we highly advise you to download the new file, as it has been revised and improved as of it's formal release.

DigitalRecorder 2.0 Updates must be performed by a JAVS Service Technician.

All Serial numbers will remain the same, and this update should not require re-activation. for these updates to work, a JAVS service technician will need to update any DigitalRecorder 2.0 systems.
